Ana Garriga Domínguez holds a Doctorate in Law from the University of Vigo and she is
Professor of Philosophy of Law at the same University.
Principal Investigator in the research work "Analyze the new regulations
of data protection to ensure compliance with the
information collected", a project integrated into the Coordinated Research Programme
SECURHOME.
She has extensive teaching experience in degrees and postgraduate degrees in
the scope of the Theory of Law, the Theory of Justice and, especially, in
in the Information Society, in universities and in the private sector, both
Spanish as well as foreign. Her main lines of research are
expression and information freedom ; the principle of equality and the
human rights and the protection of the environment and,
in particular, the protection of personal data and fundamental rights
in the Information Society. As a result of the research activity
can name more than 50 publications among articles in scientific journals,
book chapters and monographs, as well as participation in more than 10 projects.
