Senior Consumer Barometer
The III Senior Consumer Barometer carried out in October 2022 -again with the help of Google- provides insight into the habits of the more than 16 million Spaniards over the age of 55. The reality revealed in this study moves away from the negative clichés about this age cohort and helps to put an end to worrying ageism.
The Spanish senior population has more than one income at home (one in two), helps family members (four out of ten) and has travelled for tourism (seven out of ten). In terms of housing, she owns her own home (eight out of ten) and believes that she can get a financial return from this property. At the same time, they take care of their health through food (seven out of ten), are present on the internet (seven out of ten) and mostly use technology for their care (eight out of ten). They are an informed group, which leads them to be more concerned about the economic situation than in previous years.
