Exhibition "A vivir que son 100 años" arrives in Vigo

Introduction

From 10 January to 8 February, in collaboration with the Fundación General CSIC, the exhibition "A vivir que son 100 años", a scientific vision of longevity and healthy ageing, will be on display at the Afundación headquarters in Vigo.

The increase in life expectancy is one of the most relevant transformations we have experienced as a society. Over the last century and a half we have gained 6 hours of life for every day we survive. What makes people live to such advanced ages: genetics, lifestyles, social conditions, scientific advances? What social challenges do we face and how do we prepare the answers to them?

To answer these and other questions, Afundación is organising educational visits for all ages, where we will have the chance to reflect on what ageing is, how the environment conditions the way we age and how to invest in our own lives in order to age well. Healthy life habits, connection and empathy between generations, lifelong learning, genetic aspects, will be some of the topics to be discussed.
