In order to learn from the cutting edge, the University of the Algarve within the project "Programme for a Longevity Society" (0551_PSL_6_E) funded by INTERREG V-A, Spain Portugal, (POCTEP), financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), will organise the third "Think Tank" on Longevity, this one on the theme "The importance of preventing the risk of falls in longevity".

Marisa Almeida, MD: Graduated in Medicine at the ICBAS of the University of Porto, did the Common Year at the Barlavento Algarvio Hospital Centre, the internship in General and Family Medicine at USF Farol in Faro, is a family doctor at USF Farol in Faro, and is currently working as a family doctor at UCSP Lagoa.
Ana Nascimento, MCs: Graduate in Nursing and Business Management from the University of the Algarve, Master in Management of Health Units from the University of the Algarve, specialist nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing from the Atlantic University and currently a specialist nurse in the Home Hospitalisation Unit at CHUA Faro.
António Duarte, Doctor: Doctor in Psychology, Master in Adult Education and Training, Postgraduate in Hand Re-education, Graduate in Occupational Therapy, and currently Coordinator of the Occupational Therapy Department CHUA - Faro and Portimão Unit.
This Think Tank which is already underway on 2 December is organised in collaboration with ABC - Biomedical Centre of the Algarve and CBMR - Biomedical Research Centre.
